Bro Morgannwg - Video transcript

Welcome to the specialist health services for people with a learning disability in Swansea. A team of nurses and therapists work with people in the community to help them stay as healthy as possible – they can help with things like epilepsy and physical activity. They can also help people to learn new skills and find ways for them to have their say and make choices.

For people whose needs can’t be met in the community and who need more help, we have a treatment unit in Morriston called Llwyneryr. This has 8 bedrooms, a large lounge and a quiet area.

People can come and stay here for short periods of time. When in Llwyneryr people will still be able to see the community staff that they know. But they will also have nursing support 24 hours a day as well as being seen by the psychiatrist more regularly.

If you would like to know more about specialist health services you can ring the Community Support Team and ask to speak to Pam Dacey, Locality Manager. Our number is 01792 614100.
