What does Walsingham do?

Walsingham supports people with learning disabilities to enable each person to lead a fulfilled life.
We provide housing, care and support for people with learning disabilities who are aged 18 or over.

What is the Walsingham 5 Year Plan?
The Walsingham 5 Year Plan tells everyone what we are planning to do from April 2005 to March 2010.
Why do we need a 5 Year Plan?
A 5 Year Plan will help us know what we are going to do in the next 5 years.

A 5 Year Plan will help us find out if we are doing what we said we would do.
A 5 Year Plan will help us tell other people what is going to happen at Walsingham.
Why is the 5 Year Plan important?

Hello. My name is Paul Snell. I am the boss of Walsingham. I am sometimes called the Chief Executive.
Our 5 Year Plan is very important because it tells everyone what we are going to do between 2005 and 2010.

Our 5 Year Plan will help us provide even better support to people with learning disabilities. It will also help us support more people in England and Wales.
Our 5 Year Plan will help everyone to tell me whether we are doing a good job.
Who wrote the 5 Year Plan?
We made sure that lots of people had a say about what is in the 5 Year Plan. People we support and people who work for Walsingham all had a say.

Involving the people we support
We will make sure that the people we support are involved in things when they want to be

We will make sure people can have a say in how Walsingham is run.
We will make sure that people understand and are able to use their rights.
We will support people to develop their spiritual gifts and to be involved in their community if they want to be.

We will work together with people so that they can make decisions themselves.
We will make sure that we provide the right kind of support for people.
