Hi. I’m Adam Mason.

I’m the Support Services Leader of Doorways and I have worked for the organisation since April 1991.

My Experience

I manage the staff team. I help the service provide home support to help people live in their own homes.

I help train staff in Inclusive Communication. I attend a lot of meetings to help improve and develop services. I have helped Doorways provide Skills Assessments – Getting-to-Know-You

Services – Skills training and support for people to attend day services.

My Qualifications

I hold an NVQ Level 4 award.

I hold a Diploma in Welfare Studies.

I have an Institute of Service Management (ISM) Qualification.

My training has included:

Administration of Medication

Working with People who have Epilepsy

Food Hygiene

First Aid in Industry

Risk Assessments

Protection of Vulnerable Adults III

Manual Handling

Robin Cadwallader

Hi! I’m Robin Cadwallader

I am the Deputy Support Services Leader at Doorways.

I have been working here for almost 10 years.

My Experience

As well as helping to manage the organisation and staff team, I work

“hands-on” directly with people who need support.

I attend meetings and meet people who are interested in what services we can offer.

I provide skills assessments and training, support people to go to day services and support people who live in their own homes.

My Qualifications

I am completing my NVQ Level 3 (Promoting Independence).

I have a Qualification in “First Aid at Work”.

I hold a Diploma in Welfare Studies.

I will attend more training in the future to help improve the service I provide.

Hi! I’m Janet Dyer.

I am a Support Worker with Doorways.

I have worked with Doorways since September 1997.

My Experience

I help to support people to live in their own homes, to attend day centres, to attend colleges and move homes.

Skills Assessments are carried out to find out how much support is required.

My Qualifications

I have a Certificate in Residential Child Care.

I hold an NVQ Level 3 award.

I have done a lot of training, which includes:

Hi. I’m Mark Estevens.

I am a Support Worker with Doorways.

My Experience

I regularly help to support service users to attend day services, and also

to support them within their own homes and out in the community.

I frequently undertake a SCILS Assessment with our client group to identify how much support is required.

My Qualifications

I am currently working towards an NVQ Level 3 award in promoting

independence.
